What is Ddownload?
Ddownload functions as an internet-based cyberlocker that keeps all your files on an online server. Instead of carrying around a USB stick, Ddownload lets you access all your photos, videos, documents and audio files in one place simply by uploading them onto your file dashboard. Alternatively, you can upload up to 50 files via URL links using their remote storage service for when you don’t have access to a computer/laptop. Once you’ve uploaded a file, it’s stored directly on your file dashboard and you also get a download link which you can share with others. However, due to legal reasons, you can't upload copyrighted files.
The file dashboard displays the size and date of upload for each file and it's also customisable so you can select to have 10, 20, 50, 100 or 500 denominations of files listed on a single web page. You can store files in folders on your file dashboard or transfer them using the platform’s FTP protocol and there’s also options to rename a file, add a description and list a file as public. After uploading your files, you can also access them across multiple devices such as computers/laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Plans and pricing
Ddownload offers three account plans, including €15 for a one month subscription, €49 for a six month subscription and €70 for a 12 month subscription. In addition, when you buy a 12 month subscription, you automatically get a 40% discount which reduces it from the original price of €120 to €70. However, Ddownload doesn’t offer a free trial.

€15 | One month |
€49 | Six months |
€70 | 12 months |

As part of their services, Ddownload offers an affiliate referral bonus whereby you can earn 15% of the profits for every new affiliate you refer.

Security
Ddownload has no security measures in place such as end-to-end data encryption or two-factor authentication, which means that your files aren’t secured through Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificates. In addition, a low percentage of users (26%) rate Ddownload with five stars on Trustpilot, which is a low indicator of safety. The most common issues raised are related to customer service and download speed concerns but people praise them for their unlimited storage.

FAQs | Available |
Ddownload uses a ticketing system where users can fill in an online form with a subject, description and optional attachment in order to contact the company. For users who are dealing with emergency account issues, there’s no way to speak with customer service on the phone or via 24/7 live chat. Ddownload offers a limited FAQs page with seven questions.
Conclusion
Ddownload is recommended to users who are looking to store, share and access their files with ease in a single place, without having to carry around a USB stick. The additional remote storage service even lets you upload up to 50 files via URL links for when you don’t have access to a computer/laptop. However, Ddownload hasn’t disclosed its maximum download speeds and many users on forums such as Reddit and Turnkappe have claimed that they’ve experienced download speeds of between 6-25 MB per second. In addition, there’s no data encryption for your files, a dormant account policy whereby if you don’t access your files for 180 days, they’re automatically deleted and no phone support or 24/7 live chat.
But if you don’t mind this, Ddownload can still be a great option if you’re looking for an annual subscription discount or multiple payment method optionsincluding credit and debit cards. Ddownload could improve its service by encrypting data on its platform and offering phone support or 24/7 live chat.
